About the Property
Villa Amethyst sits in Pointe du Bluffe, within the gated Terres Basses enclave of Saint Martin, with the Caribbean opening wide in front of it. The setting is properly cinematic: between Baie aux Cayes and the natural rock arch known as the Trou de David, the villa looks across turquoise water, rugged coastline, and, on clear days, Anguilla resting on the horizon.
Formerly known as Le Mas des Sables, this five-bedroom retreat has been reimagined as a bright, contemporary seaside villa with a quietly theatrical streak. A winding drive rises through tropical gardens to an arched courtyard, and inside, the view arrives first. Then the namesake detail appears: a striking six-foot pair of amethyst crystal wings in the living area, with smaller stones placed throughout the home like little purple commas of calm.
The layout is made for ten guests, with five king bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The primary suite, Rose Quartz, is joined by Howlite, Carnelian, Selenite, and Citrine, so nobody is quietly calculating who drew the short straw. Living spaces open toward the terrace, the heated private pool, and the outdoor lounge areas, giving the villa that prized Saint Martin rhythm of coffee outside, long swims, late lunches, and evenings watching Marigot Bay flicker below.
Practicalities are handled with equal care. Air conditioning, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, a stereo system, housekeeping, laundry facilities, a safe, security system, generator, and parking are all included. The kitchen is fully equipped for relaxed villa dining, with an oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, blender, juicer, cookware, dishes, silverware, and a wine fridge. Villa Amethyst is polished, private, and a little mystical in the nicest possible way. The sea does most of the talking here; the villa simply gives it a beautiful place to be heard.

Incredible! — Absolutely fantastic Villa. The staff were incredible. The views were incredible. Each room had great privacy and views. Would love nothing more than to go back to Villa Amethyst!
Perfect! — Went on a girls trip with 7 others and we stayed at the Amethyst. The villa was very beautiful, perfect accommodation, close to the airport, and very safe. Everything was clean and spacious with a laundry room, ice machine, mist for mosquitos, the pool and the view was beautiful. We had a path right outside to go view David’s hole. We were able to use a shuttle service through them to and from the airport as well as a rental car for the entirety of the trip. Our concierge was very helpful with suggestions of where to go eat and what to see as well as connecting us to the rental service. The island and beaches were beautiful and I’d love to go again! Thank you for a comforting and amazing experience.
Walking into a dream! — Amethyst Villa is like walking into a dream! It is situated on the hillside overlooking the picturesque rock formations and ocean with Anguilla in the distance. You can see the lights of Marigot at night. Walk to Rouge beach or drive to many other beaches. The pool and outdoor sitting area is beautiful! The concierge was there to answer all our questions and help with reservations or recommendations for restaurants and activities. We really enjoyed our stay here!
Great vacation — We had a great vacation, appreciated the timely vacation pick up and efficiency of having our car rental on site. Appreciated the arrival care package and the service of our concierge. We enjoyed massages and a chef's dinner as well.
Lovely — Lovely villa with a beautiful view, and charming caretaker. Very conveniently located.
Simply Beautiful — This villa is simply beautiful. It had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The staff were amazing & it is situated in a very good location (not too far from the airport/maho beach and to several restaurants & stores). I had a lovely stay & look forward to renting this villa in the future.
Wonderful — We have just returned from the most wonderful vacation in St Martin. The villa and especially the location are extremely beautiful. We loved the peace and quiet.

Better Than the Pictures — This place was even better than in the pictures. The management team was very responsive and helped arranged our airport transportation, car rental, fabulous chef and our amazing boating excursion. I cannot recommend this place more. The views and the house are better than you can imagine. We were a family of 8 and had so much space, but we spent most of the time outside in the multiple living spaces and beautiful pool overlooking the beach and water. Did I mention the cute little Grotto that is adjoining the property…simply wonderful! Everyone is so friendly!
10/10 — My family and I had an amazing time at Amethyst villa. The villa everything we pictured it would be and more. We had an amazing time and our concierge was always available for questions we had. 10/10 stay and we will definitely be back to St. Maarten and staying at Amethyst.
