About the Property
Torre di Paciano 10+2 sits 492 metres above sea level near Perugia, in that quietly theatrical fold where Umbria looks toward Tuscany. The view does not creep up on you. It arrives at once: manicured garden, open plain, Lake Trasimeno in the foreground, then hill villages scattered beyond, turning after dark into a little constellation of lights.
The villa began life as a watchtower belonging to the old Castle of Paciano Vecchio, placed along the historic route between Perugia and Chiusi. Today it is linked to an 18th-century building and arranged as a private country retreat for up to 10 guests. Inside, antique furniture, high ceilings and grand chandeliers keep the atmosphere properly old-world, with enough space for a group to spread out without losing the pleasure of being together.
There are 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, with a mix of single rooms, double rooms and flexible beds in the tower bedroom, including joinable singles. It suits a multigenerational family, a gathering of friends, or a small wedding party with a taste for stone walls, long views and a little history in the plaster. A dear little consecrated chapel on the property adds a rare and intimate setting for ceremonies.
Outside, the garden is the slow part of the day: lawns for children, old oaks for shade, antique stone seating, alfresco dining areas and a large barbecue. By evening, when the villages begin to glow across the plain, the tower earns its name all over again.
