About the Property
Villa Beaulieu sits on Baie Rouge Beach in Terres Basses, looking out across the Caribbean toward Anguilla, with the sort of blue-on-blue horizon that makes lunch linger and phones go face-down without much negotiation. It is a three-bedroom, three-bathroom villa for up to six guests, arranged on a single level so the day moves easily between shaded interiors, open terraces, the heated pool, and the beach beyond.
The villa carries a notable design pedigree: its history credits Robertson “Happy” Ward, the mid-century modernist architect also associated with La Samanna Hotel. His quoted belief that “all architecture is social engineering” feels unusually apt here. Beaulieu is not showy. It is composed. Arches frame the dining room, the double living room opens toward outdoor lounge and dining spaces, and the kitchen, finished with granite countertops and a wide pass-through to the terrace, keeps the cook connected to the view.
Each of the three bedrooms is a true master suite with a king bed, an en-suite bathroom, Italian tumbled marble finishes, and sea views that reach even into the bathrooms. Each suite also opens to its own private terrace, patio, or garden area, giving couples or friends a little breathing room between swims, dinners, and late-morning coffee.
Days here are pleasingly uncomplicated: breakfast on the terrace, a dip in the private pool, a walk along Baie Rouge, then dinner from the barbecue as the light softens over the water. Practical comforts are well covered too, including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, housekeeping, a generator, parking, laundry facilities, safety equipment, and a mosquito spray machine. Children are accepted from age 12 and older.
Key amenities include:
- Beachfront setting on Baie Rouge Beach in Terres Basses
- Private heated outdoor pool, fixed at 29C / 84F from December 17 to April 14
- Three king bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom
- Panoramic Caribbean Sea views toward Anguilla
- Air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, and stereo system
- Fully equipped kitchen with oven, stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, cookware, dishes, and silverware
- Terrace, patio, garden, outdoor dining areas, and barbecue
- Housekeeping, linens, bath towels, essentials, shampoo, hair dryer, hangers, extra pillows, and blankets
- Washing machine, dryer, iron, safe, parking, generator, and safety equipment
- Luggage dropoff allowed
For a small group wanting privacy, beach access, architecture with a little soul, and one of Saint Martin’s most coveted west-coast views, Beaulieu makes a very persuasive case for staying put.
