About the Property
Villa Blue Sailing is set in Happy Bay on French Saint Martin, built into the hillside with wide Caribbean views taking in Friar’s Bay, its promontory, and the quieter sweep of Happy Bay below. It is a three-bedroom, three-bathroom villa for up to six guests, with the rare pleasure of three king bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. No awkward room lottery here.
The main entrance opens onto the upper level, where the villa keeps life easy: an open-plan kitchen with breakfast bar, a living and dining area, and a covered terrace running the length of the house. That terrace is the natural gathering place, with outdoor lounge and dining space facing west for sunsets that arrive with proper Caribbean theatre, all gold edges and blue water.
Downstairs, the mood shifts to poolside idling. A sunny deck surrounds the private plunge pool, with yellow loungers adding a cheerful flash against the sea view. A gazebo with double daybeds offers shade when the afternoon gets bright, and tropical planting frames the deck without stealing the view.
The bedrooms are calm and evenly considered, dressed in tones of sky blue, eau de nil, and warm orange. Two king suites sit on the lower level with direct access to the pool terrace, while the third king suite is on the upper entrance level. Each bedroom has a TV, an en-suite bathroom with open shower, and his and her sinks, which is the sort of detail guests tend to appreciate by day two.

See you next year! — Our stay in St Martin with our four children was great. We have been to the island and knew our way around, so we chose this location for it's proximity to Grand Case. We are also outdoorsy and liked the idea of a 5 min walk/hike to Friar's and Happy bay. Both great beaches for children. The pool was also nice for the children especially at night when we had had our fill of the beach for the day. The service from the villa team was also amazing. Picked up from the airport and delivered to the house, and then picked up again and taken back to the airport. We did not have to arrange anything. Also the delivered our rental car to our house. Would most certainly book again!
5-minute Walk to Beach! — Beautiful views! Nestled into the hillside on the French side of St. Martin. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space for two couples to relax and be comfortable. A 5-8 minute walk down the hillside to Friar's Bay Beach. We appreciated having the peace and privacy that this villa offers. Our concierge was a great resource for recommendations and making reservations for us at some restaurants just a short ride away in Grand Case. We would definitely recommend!
Very Nice — We stayed at Blue Sailing for 10 days and the villa had all amenities as described and was very nice. Being an end unit provided a bit more privacy and the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen had everything we needed as we like to cook and the location between Happy Bay and Friar’s Bay is our favorite. The concierge provides numerous suggestions of things to do and quickly answered all questions that came up during the week, and the housekeeper keeps the place spotless during your stay. We have lost count on the number of trips to St. Martin but certainly this villa was one of the best and we would happily return.
Outstanding — We recently stayed at blue sailings villa on the French side in St. Martin. They picked us up at the airport, took us to p/u our rental car, then escorted us to our villa. Our concierge did an outstanding job, always answering when we called him, checking in on us everyday to see if we needed anything, great restaurant/ beach suggestions. When I wanted a tattoo, he made an appointment and had an excellent tattoo artist come to our villa. We had a great week of much needed relaxation. We will definitely return for another stay. Thank you again!
Gorgeous — The house is gorgeous and very comfortable. We had a bit of bad luck in that one of our kids got sick while there and we were stuck at home for a large part of the week. Nevertheless, it was not such a hardship! The view and pool are wonderful. The only two things I would note are that the internet was slower than we had expected, which made working a challenge (but the concierge was wonderful, trying to help) and it’s a bit of a drive from everything. But we loved it.
Spacious — This house is on a bluff overlooking the ocean and Friars Bay Beach. The house faces west, offering spectacular sunsets over the ocean. Spacious, well equipt and nicely decorated, it was a pleasure to spend time there. The villa management was helpful, always available and hospitable. We would love to return again.
