Villa Happy Bay brings a calm, sun-warmed rhythm to Happy Bay in Mont Choisy, on the Saint Martin side of the Caribbean. Set within a gated community, this four-bedroom, four-bathroom villa sleeps up to eight guests and feels made for travelers who want privacy, ocean views, and the small comforts that keep a holiday from becoming a logistical exercise.
The outdoor living is the quiet star: a terrace and patio for long breakfasts, a garden that softens the edges of the house, a barbecue for evenings with a little sizzle, and a heated private pool waiting when the beach bag can wait. There is parking, a mosquito spray machine, and a generator too, which may not sound glamorous, but seasoned island guests know those are the details that earn their keep.
Inside, the villa is easygoing and well equipped. Air conditioning keeps bedrooms cool, Wi-Fi and TV cover downtime, and the stereo system gives sunset drinks a soundtrack. The kitchen is ready for proper meals with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, cookware, dishes, and silverware. Housekeeping is included, so the place can return to order without anyone volunteering for dish duty.
The bedroom layout is clean and sensible: the primary bedroom has a king bed and en-suite bathroom, two queen bedrooms also have en-suite bathrooms, and a fourth queen bedroom completes the sleeping arrangement. Absolutely love it! — This is our second time staying at Happy Bay Villa and we absolutely love it! The set up is perfect for a couple families or a few couples. We have 2 younger boys and the last two bedrooms are at one end of the home and are separated with a door to the main hallway. It is like having your own private suite within a home with a lot of privacy. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed cooking in a couple evenings while overlooking the beautiful ocean and pool. There is a bedroom off from the kitchen which was perfect for our teenager traveling with us. Really there is no bad bedroom as all have views overlooking the pool and ocean. Since visiting last time they have also added a great work out room - clean air conditioned and with a bathroom. The neighborhood is very quiet and up on the hill are amazing views. We liked the proximity to Grand Case where we ate most nights as the drive is short. The grocery store is very close too. Happy Bay Beach is about a 10 minute walk down a hiking path. Be on the look out of iguanas and roaming cows! When we were there the waves were perfect. Big enough to entertain our 17 and 11 year old but not too strong that I was afraid our 6 yr old would be swept away. Wifi was good in the main areas of the villa but not a strong signal at the far end. There is one tv in the main tv area but that was fine with us as we were not there to watch tv…the only time was for the SuperBowl (: We would not hesitate to book again
Hidden Gem — The house is a hidden gem. Owners obviously take great pride in the appearance of their property. Fabulous view, quiet, well laid out, and well-appointed
Bravo! — This was our second stay at Happy Bay Villa, but our first since the post-Irma update it has undergone. The interior and accents are very nice and the expansion to the kitchen was very well done. All bedrooms are well appointed and extremely comfortable with both new beds and new AC units. You can’t beat the location on Mont Choicy, as it is close to multiple dining options, a harbor to charter boats, and beaches to suit either those that want a crowd and action, to those that want seclusion. To make this perfect vacation villa really shine, was the service we received from our house keeper and our amazing Villa Concierge. Always quick to respond to any questions we had, our concierge was just a phone call or text away. I must say, his suggestion to bring a nurse to our villa to administer the PCR test for our entire party was genius. It sure beat standing in a hot line at the airport, wondering if we were going to miss our flights back home. We love St Martin and all that it has to offer…and when you have such friendly, professional, and genuine staff running your operation, it is an unbeatable combination for success. Bravo to the villa management team!
Great location — This place truly is fantastic. It actually looks as breathtaking as the photos. And the island itself is one of my favorite places to visit. Having this villa as home base is the perfect thing and a great location.
Great Spot for a group! — Our group had a lovely stay at Happy Bay in Saint Martin! The property was very spacious and comfortable, the housekeeper was a bright spot in our day, and the planning in advance with the team was seamless. I highly recommend pre-stocking the villa as we did, and take advantage of assistance booking a boat charter and private chef's dinners. A great spot for a group!
Loved Happy Bay — Loved Happy Bay.,, so convenient to markets dining and beaches. While having a beautiful pool of its own… and view .. you don’t have to move from the villa.., Staff was friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic! — I am apprehensive about writing this review because I don’t want people to know how great this place is and not leave any weeks for me to return. Happy bay was an exceptional villa. We have stayed at many villas all over the world and we will be sure to return to happy bay as soon as possible. The lay out and views from the property are fantastic. The rooms are also all equally perfect. Our concierge was also so helpful checking in with us daily and entertaining our every need. We will be sure to return and hope to be so lucky to have the same concierge again.
Absolutely Incredible — The villa was absolutely incredible. It is impossible to beat the view and everything about the home was luxurious. Our concierge was extremely helpful in making our stay as enjoyable as possible with tons of recommendations as well as booking restaurants for us and massages too. The housekeeper was also excellent and kept the villa spotless for the entire stay. I truly could not recommend happy baby more highly.
