About the Property
Villa Jacaranda sits in the scenic hills of Terres Basses, with an easy Caribbean rhythm and open views toward Baie Longue Beach and the coastline beyond. With two king bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, this private St. Martin retreat is sized for four guests who prefer their luxury intimate, breezy, and nicely unforced.
The mood is rustic-chic rather than over-polished: natural textures, airy indoor spaces, and a sun-washed terrace that becomes the villa's quiet center of gravity. The private pool is made for slow swims between chapters of a paperback, the cushioned lounge areas encourage a heroic amount of doing very little, and the small sandy area adds a barefoot wink to beach life without asking anyone to pack a tote.
Outdoors, Jacaranda leans into island living with a shaded dining area, barbecue, garden, daybeds, and a nature-inspired outdoor shower. As evening comes in, palm trees and soft lighting give the terrace a warm, low-key glow. It is an easy setting for grilled dinners, sunset drinks, or the deeply underrated pleasure of sitting still while the sky changes color.
Inside, the open-plan living and dining areas keep things relaxed and practical. The kitchen is well equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, cookware, dishes, and silverware, so breakfast can be as simple or as ceremonious as the morning demands. Air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, a stereo system, laundry facilities, and a safe bring the useful comforts along quietly.
Both bedrooms are arranged with king beds and en-suite bathrooms, giving two couples equal comfort and privacy. Housekeeping is included, babysitting can be arranged, and guests are supported by a personal Guest Experience Specialist, a rather civilized detail when arrival day has involved passports, sunscreen, and someone misplacing the sunglasses they are wearing.

...a dream come true — To everyone in the Jacaranda family, We want to extend our sincere gratitude for our stay in your beautiful home in Terre Basses this past February. This was a first experience for our family. When our youngest son Milo was 8 months old we started our annual visits to St.Maarten. Milo is now 10! For years we rented much smaller accommodations where settling was our only option, and while we were always so happy to do so and to just be on the island, we would still daydream of being able to rent a place like Jacaranda and you've collectively made it a reality for us. And more than just a reality; a dream come true. The welcome team was beyond thorough, kind and sweet. We know there were some people we didn't even meet who helped make everything so wonderful from behind the scenes. Our concierge is exactly the genuinely caring and professional host you can only be so lucky to meet; his dinner suggestion for us could not have been more spot on as we will forever reminisce about that evening. We know that comes from extensive experience in client relationships and the ability to know who we are without even knowing. He cared about our happiness and our enjoyment and we are so thankful for him. The design, layout and execution of the home was also so very appreciated by a family in the building industry - compliments to the owners, designers- interior and exterior - and all involved with the transformation and management of this amazing home. We look forward to coming back again in the years to come! Thank you, to all, for a truly wonderful stay!
Blissfull and Beautiful — We stayed at villa Jacaranda for a week. A blissful and beautiful place that is private and serene. The photos can’t do it justice since it doesn’t portray the view of the ocean and the stunning sunsets. The pool is really large even for Terres Basses. The water is a bit cool on the cloudy days. Everything here looks new or recently renovated. It is well taken care of by an excellent team. Non intrusive cleaning and gardening and pool service. The concierge was extremely welcoming and helpful. Minor issues were immediately addressed and resolved. Would definitely stay here again.
Jacaranda was great! — The villa team is always A class from top to bottom. Highly recommend booking your next rental with them when visiting SXM.
