La Bella Casa sits in Les Terres Basses with one of those St. Martin outlooks that makes cocktail hour feel slightly cinematic: tropical gardens and broad lawns in the foreground, La Samanna Hotel below, Baie Longue Beach beyond, and the Caribbean doing its blue-on-blue performance all day.
This 12-bedroom estate sleeps up to 24 guests, with every bedroom offering an ensuite bathroom. The layout is generous in the right way for a large family gathering, a group of friends, or a private celebration. Most bedrooms are in the main house, with additional accommodation spread across two cottages and a studio, giving guests room to drift off when they want quiet and gather again when dinner is ready.
The design blends Indonesian and French influences, softened by white and cream tones, grey tile floors, arched details, ironwork, and flashes of color that keep the rooms from feeling too polite. The great room is spacious and relaxed, opening through sliding glass pocket doors to the terrace, the sea air, and the view. Outside, covered verandahs, upper and lower terraces, deck loungers, a gazebo, and a large private pool create several places to read, nap, linger over breakfast, or pretend to be useful while someone else handles the barbecue.
The kitchen is fully equipped for proper villa living, with a dining room, breakfast bar, oven, stove, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, ice maker, coffee maker, blender, toaster, cookware, and a dining table. Housekeeping is included, which is exactly the sort of quiet luxury that makes a big group holiday feel civilized.
Active days are easy here. Guests have access to bicycles, table tennis, a fitness center, tennis, stand-up paddle boards, and a boat dock, with swimming, snorkeling, sailing, scuba diving, surfing, wind surfing, water skiing, fishing, hiking, golf, bird watching, beachcombing, and reefs all part of the surrounding St. Martin rhythm. Restaurants, groceries, and shopping are close by too, so nobody has to make a production out of a forgotten bottle of wine.

Our Best Family Vacation Ever My husband and I brought our children and grandchildren—14 of us altogether—to La Bella Casa for Thanksgiving. The villa exceeded every expectation. The layout was ideal for a multigenerational family. There were plenty of comfortable spaces where we could spend time together, while everyone could still enjoy privacy when desired. The gated entrance and nearby guardhouse also made us feel very safe throughout our stay. Baie Longue Beach was only a two-minute drive or an easy 15-minute walk away, and we visited almost every day. Back at the villa, we loved relaxing around the pool while enjoying the ocean views and beautiful sunsets. We arranged for a private chef to prepare and serve our meals, which made the week especially relaxing. Some of our favourite moments were the long conversations shared around the dining table. Because our family lives in several different states, Thanksgiving is the one time each year when we are all together. Everyone agreed that La Bella Casa was our best family vacation yet—and the place we would most like to visit again.
Even More Beautiful in Person La Bella Casa is even more impressive than the photographs. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and the staff made our experience truly memorable. The property manager was incredibly helpful and readily accommodated our special requests. The six main-level bedrooms were beautifully appointed and very comfortable. There was more than enough room in the kitchen, dining area and around the grill for our group of eight adults to prepare some unforgettable meals together. We loved the perfectly maintained pool, ocean views, sound system and billiards and ping-pong area. The villa was also an excellent base for exploring St. Martin. We would return in a heartbeat.
Perfect for Our Large Group Our group of 23 had a wonderful stay at La Bella Casa. The villa was spacious, exceptionally clean and exactly what we had hoped for. The villa managers went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, and the housekeeping team did an outstanding job throughout our stay. The reservation team was also responsive and helpful, answering our questions about the villa, local activities and excursions. We had an incredible time and would happily return.
